Please forgive me for posting a redundant question....I have searched the threads and am even more confused.

My girls have mites and only one has even been treated with Ivermectin at the vet's office last year.

I have four hens, all between 2 and 2.5 years old. Their weights are about 5-7 lbs (2 EEs, 1 Skinny BO and 1 JG).

My vet never heard of the blue Ivermectin 5% but suggested Ivermectin 1% Injectible to be given orally. Based on my JG's weight two and one half weeks ago, a 7 lb hen needs .6cc. She said to just give the 1% Ivermectin orally.

I bought the brown box Ivomec 1% Injectible and I have a Durvet (blue liquid) bottle of the IVERMECTIN 5% Cattle pour-on.

Now, my questions:

What is the difference between 1% Injectible and 5% pour on?

Which one is easier on their systems? Which one treats "more" parasites than the other.

I am afraid of poisoning my hens as one is just off her Baytril and is drinking some ACV water today.

Thanks in advance everybody! Can you tell I am a first time chicken keeper?
