Our Giants are so gentle and tame our boys just pick up the roos and carry them around. They are HUGE when grown. I have the Black Jerseys(hens and roos) and only a few white giant hens ( more to come in the spring). Loud deep crows from the roos too. I ordered all of mine from Cackle hatchery and have been very pleased with them. They are a wonderful breed and really are not truly full grown until they are almost 2 years old. The first year they grow their frame and then start to build their "bulk". Enjoy!

He's beautiful. My first black giant Blade was a hatchery boy too. Spawn of Satan attack roo but hand raised and tame until he got a flock. Now I have private bred stock that is way larger and the nicest roos I have ever had in my 60 yr old life. Blues and blacks plus several other breeds. Love them all.

Just sharing some pics of a few of mine. I do have an incubator going with more to build my flock. I have several breeds of my favs. Can someone tell me where to get the SOP for poultry? I have one for my rabbits but am getting so involved with my chickens too. Sorry none for sale. Yet. (Top pic roo is no longer with is. He was a devil)

Hello everyone! I am raising a flock of jersey giants (black). They are hatchery stock and quite small for the breed. My 8 month old cockerel is only about 8 lbs and my 8 month old pullets are only about 5-6lbs. I love the breed, they are such nice birds...curious and gentle. If anyone knows where i can get some quality eggs for hatching please pm me. I want to breed some really large chickens! Thanks!
