MIRACLE~~~LA-200 Dosage AND VetRx for CRD treatment

Pics
After hours of searching for the proper dosage for LA-200 a week ago, I have finally found an answer! After talking to a Auburn University Poultry Science professor I have found the TRUE dosage for LA-200 to treat gasping, gurgling, congestion, and other symptoms of CRD. Use .20 CC per pound (5lb chicken = 1CC). Inject into breast approx 1/4 inch deep ONCE. Do not inject another dose until day 3! This is a broad spectrum antibiotic that does not begin to dissipate until day 3. On day one, two, and three rub VetRx onto their combs and nostrils and addone ounce of VetRx to one gallon of their water which has to be "faucet hot" to be able to mix with the water. On day three give another dose of LA-200 according to the dosage above and do not give anymore! On days three thru six use the VetRx as used above both topically and in their water supply. Also during this time, put a heat lamp on them and keep them out of the wind. By day seven you should have healthy chickens. This worked miracles for mine who were deathly sick and lying on their sides wth CRD and I did not lose a single one! Follow these instructions precisely and IT WILL WORK FOR YOU!
You said to use 1cc per 5lb how do I convert that to ml?

what were her symptoms?

is there anyway LA200 can be administered through their water? I purchased chicks from a close friend who we had been buying eggs from for about a year. As chicks they showed no signs. A few months later we actually acquired their parents. Upon receiving them, I noticed they were sneezy. I didn’t think anything of it being one they were just moved around and dust or just a sneeze. Later I noticed the wheezy-ness. Mainly in the rooster when he would finish his crow. Definitely sounded like when you’re recovering from a cold (in chicken form - he wasn’t hacking up a lung). Then I had a hen with the bubbly eyes and URI was a very obvious diagnosis. Upon research I found this post months ago. I’ve done the treatment and offered no relief. Attempted Vet RX and had good results in the summer but of course with cold weather it’s very apparent.

My question is, can LA200 or any form of medication that will help be administered through their water source? I’ve done the injections and it’s a pain in the ass for 22 birds.

Welcome To BYC

Afik, LA200 is injectable only, but you can search to see if someone has successfully used it in water and the dosing.

If you've given each bird that was symptomatic the correct dosing of LA200 (Oxytetracycline) for the amount of days and not seen much improvement, then you may not be dealing with Mycoplasma.

Treat only sick birds, clean eyes with saline wiping away bubbles/foamy, pus/debris. If necessary apply an ointment like Terramycin in the eyes.

Tylosin powder can be ordered online, it goes in the water and is used to treat Mycoplasma, so you can try that to see if the birds get better.

Sometimes weather or stressful events can bring on symptoms, but be sure to provide plenty of ventilation in your coop/run during winter, being too closed up can cause issues as well.
