How is everyone doing?

Good health here.... except my mom is starting to lose her cognitive function....

So.... family things are starting to be mismanaged by my mom....

But, because she is losing function... she no longer trusts me, and I haven't been able to take over and set things right... lovely...

Result is a royal pain and a mess and family drama.




So.... please pray that my mom remembers that I am trustworthy, and gives me control over all important stuff before she full on nose dives over the cliff into dementia.

I hate dementia as well as all other slow mental declines!


Luckily, my Aunt (my mom's sister) said she will have paperwork at the ready, to get my mom to sign the second that my mom agrees.

So sorry to hear this. We've just gone through this with my younger brother, only sibling. We were lucky in that he knew what was best for his wife and all paper work was in place.

NFC, I'm doing pretty good, thanks for asking. Al, I know you are in a very difficult position. I'm sorry you're having to go through this. Sometimes, that's how it is. A friend of mine's family went through this with her father. One evening he forgot who his wife was. He refused to let the strange woman (his wife) into their bedroom. He never recognized her again. He would talk about being married, but he never again recognized her as his wife. It's sad, but you have to do, what you have to do, to take care of them.
