Nifty's Feral Kitty Adventure

Pics
The look of this thing reminds me of a flea comb. Which I haven't figured out how to use, because the fleas don't come out of the fur, they stay attached under the fur somehow, to my and my cat's frustration... Just wondering how you'd use the Furminator and if it's similar?
I use a flea comb to find "flea dirt." You can distinguish it from regular dirt by putting the “dirt” on a wet paper towel. If the dirt spreads like blood, it's from fleas. Then I treat my cats with a product called revolution.

Anybody else's cat sleep weird?

Yes! We have 2  special kitties.

Hairball Henry loves a crunchy bag, but will lounge anywhere.

And Tiny Ming loves a warm lap.

One of the kids added the prop.

Ming was a rescue and lost most of her teeth, including all 4 fangs, before we got her. Sometimes her tongue hangs out while she sleeps. Takes her a few moments to get it moistened up and returned to its proper place.

Okay, this cat is driving me crazy!

We have her litter box inside, and she's spending almost all of her time during the day outside.

... But every once in a while she meows to come inside, goes right to her litter box to make a big deposit, and then goes back outside.

She feels secure inside. You should be flattered!
You could try putting her litter box outside if you have a covered porch or something like that. Eventually if she goes outside you may be able to get rid of the litter box entirely.

To me that's far better than in the veggie patch or flower bed.

Update: For the most part, KMM is living her best life!

We are having some issues with her not being friendly to the other cat (grandparent's cat next to us), so are doing our best to keep them separated and having them on different outside schedules.

One thing we noticed: Her breathing the last couple of days has been VERY fast. In fact, early this morning I was surprised and thought she was maybe getting ready to huck a hair-ball.

... but she just continues to breath fast. It's not especially hot, and she's not exhibiting any other problems, so we called the vet. They said "keep an eye on her for if it gets worse or changes."

... so that's what we're doing for now.

Here's a video from this morning:

Hope she's ok Rob :fl
