Megan sat down on the stool behind the counter and flipped through her account book. Typically she would wait till the evening to go through it, but right now the shop had only a few customers and they had been served, so she had some spare time.
She ran her finger down the last column of the last month and stopped at the very last number, the month's total. She flipped a page back to the month before and did the same thing. After going through several month's pages, she came to the conclusion that she was doing quite well monetary wise here. So well, in fact, that hiring an employee would scarcely put her back.
Besides, she had plenty of savings so if it did put her back slightly one month, she still wouldn't have to worry about her day to day comforts.
A decision was quickly come to and made: she would put a hiring ad in Crestfallen's paper (they got a paper, right? ). Smiling to herself, Megan put the book back in her purse in the kitchen and returned to attend a customer who had just entered.

Megan retrieved a clean mug from the kitchen while the water boiled. She set a strainer full of tea leaves on the mug and poured the water over the leaves slowly. "Sugar or honey?" She asked

Bee finished eating and Eva paid. "Thanks," Bee said. "My pleasure!" Eva said. "Let's go find your house!" They walked down the street.

Megan set the honey jar and a clean spoon in front of Serena. "And here's your tea. Careful, it's very hot," she said, setting the mug by the honey
