Ongoing Quilt Projects, Continued from the "No Appreciation...." Thread

I like to do straight line quilting with a walking foot on my domestic machines. The walking foot (if your 70s machine doesn't have one, I bet you can buy one that will fit your shank) keeps it all together and with some creative arranging of an ironing board and or card tables I can support a large quilt.

A lot of quilts look really nice with just straight lines.

I did mostly straight lines with my previous quilt. Ill have to try rearranging things in my sewing room to accomodate. I appreciate the help! Ive worked all afternoon and i have 10 patches halfway done

Was planning to stop at Joann’s yesterday for some material for my upcoming grandbaby (actually 2 grandbabies due 4 days from each other!) and the last email I had was for 60-75% off lots of different items but it ended Sunday. But!... today I got a new email from them extending the sale thru today. So I’m stopping on my way home.

Thanks! I hit a bit of a snag today. The thread i bought is not the same as what ive been using and my sewing machine doesnt like it. Oh well back to hobby lobby tomorrow i guess

Pretty colors! Sorry I've been AWOL here. I'm just not into the quilting mood. Maybe soon...I need to throw that lap quilt under the needle and just do it, but I can't seem to get going.
