Look what I just found! Does anyone have any experiences with any of these people?

https://shop.backyardfeedco.com/collections/chicken I am just concerned about the corn in it, with the hot summers here in the south. So I went looking for a corn free option. and found these people. Free shipping on your orders though, so that's good.

https://shop.smallpetselect.com/pages/chicken-products Prices are a tad better than the backyard feed co. Free shipping over 40$

https://www.newcountryorganics.com/layer-feed-corn-free-soy-free-50-pounds.html This company is in NC (A neighboring state of mine) and you get 50Lbs for 30$ ORGANIC! I believe the shipping is included for their best sellers.

https://www.reedyforkfarm.com/shop/...y-feed/organic-soy-free-corn-free-layer-feed/ Organic and really good price too for 50lbs! NC-but they charge shipping fees, but also have a bunch of stores in NC, if you live there.

I'd like to try some of these but never have. I've used scratch and peck soy free feed and my chickens loved it.
I think I am going to try the one in NC, new country organics. the only thing I don't like is that in order to get the best shipping price you have to order from their best sellers. But I only have 5 birds, so from basic calculations a 25 pound bag should last me about 4 months, and maybe I can stretch that if I ferment them. They also have a save15% discount if you order two items from the bestsellers list. so I think it all evens out in the wash.

Wow! If you can get a 25# bag to last that long I'm doing something wrong. Haha.. That's awesome though! Seems like a good price. I'd love to hear how you like it.

Yeah, I have no idea, as they are still chicks and spill more than they eat in their little box. But they had an estimator on the one site and according to that, i calculated mine and that's what it came to. I truly have no idea or anything to compare it to! lol

Fingers crossed!!

Mine are piggies... :D

I changed my mind, I am getting the completely online one. at least to start. I wanted no corn for the summer heat, and I can't get that kind for my growers without adding 40$ in shipping. So, the other one, smallpetselct, has no corn, so I will get that and hopefully it will last through summer, then maybe by the time I need more, maybe idk, I can get the one from NC for layers. I like the way that one looks-milled but you can still see all the pieces of food and tell what they are. I would think the chickens would like that, unless they just pick out their favorites and leave the rest? Hmm...more to think on.

Best to serve whole grain feeds wet or fermented, to prevent them from picking out what they want. Or else they can make a mess digging for favorite pieces, and end up not getting a fully nutritionally balanced meal out of it.
