Pigeon Talk

I have a chicken problem. I thought I'd ask here as yous are all chicken fans too! How can I treat sourcrop without nystatin or sticking caneston down a hens throat? I have one who has had a crop problem for a while but she ain't looking too good. I've got her in a cage in the garage with no food and only a little water with probios in. I'm going to withhold water tomorrow whilst I'm at work. I have made her sick some of it up but I haven't completely emptied it as I didn't want to stress her out anymore. Is there anything else I can do to help treat it?

Might read over this Article. https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...d-sour-crops-prevention-and-treatments.67194/
I've only had one crop issue, and sadly I got to her too late to help.

Here's a thread that might help in the meantime...

Thanks. I hadn't read either of them. I have emptied the rest of her crop but she still has a hard lump in there. I give them kale once in a while and it feels like it could be a piece of that. This is blue.

Not a happy girl but I'm gonna sort this.

Why couldn’t they eat kale?

Yay! So fun! How many babies do you ha e now? I can't keep track!

@Pyxis are you building the loft yet?

-Bonnie and Clyde have one, named Chance. Growing very well.
-Trip and Rocky have two, Brick and Brewer
-Shadow and Java have one. It’s tiny, doesn’t look the greatest, and those 2 birds eat like pigs. They always want food. I think the baby will make it though. I hope.

Now with Duff and Breezy on two eggs, that leaves Bugsy and Skye to pair up, but Bugsy is still only 4 months old. :)
