Boss is the boss, lol. He is a great roo, treats the ladies right. Handsome is number two, he usually has a few hens that wander with him during the day.

Handsome earns his keep with purty, lol. He is just beautiful to me.

This is an older pic but I just found this thread and I love it! This was the bird that made me fall in love with chickens. I found him with 3 hens at animal control back in September, and now have 19 chickens of varying breed, age, and sex! This is Goldie, my very first roo. Very gentle and took great care of his ladies.

Sadly, one afternoon, he just disappeared. We found a bunch of golden feathers on the driveway next door, but no other sign of him. I think he was taken straight to heaven . . .
