http://meganbrittingham.weebly.com/picture-albums.html if some one could visit my site, this link will take you to the pics, and tell me what breed my two roosters are and if Speck(the yellow chick) is a boy or girl. If you know please mail me on this site! Thanks!
Well, I only have one rooster. His name is Muffin (supposed to be a pullet - my dear husband says perhaps it was cold on chick-sexing day
) He is 14.5 weeks and is always nice (so far, even to my 4 and 5 yo kiddos) , and watches out for his girls very closely. He has a real love affair with our smallest pullet, a GLW named Delilah. Shoulda named him Samson, but he already knew his name was Muffin before we realized he was a he!
Chickens in Elmwood-I almost spit out my coffee when I read that your DH said "perhaps it was cold on chicken sexing day!"
We bought straight-run RIRs thinking maybe we would get 1 or 2 hens, but NOOOOOOO - all roos! A couple of them turned out to be very nice looking roos, but I couldn't keep them. Re-homed them to one of DH's friends who has cancer and lost all his roos to a dog attack. I was glad I could make the friend happy, but hated to give up my boys.
Because I can never have a rooster where I live, by accident one of my babies that I got from MPC was a beautiful roo. He eventually found a home not far from me on a farm: Charlotte aka Charly:
Charly doing his thing! Awww he can't help it if he's a boy....
