With that bumble foot, try simply keeping him on fresh grass for a couple months. About half the time the infection will clear on its own. If going surgical, then still keep him on fresh grass until wound heals. My American Dominiques are prone to bumble foot and respond well to the less invasive treatment.

That bird hasn’t spent a day in a pen until 5 minutes ago. Born on the yard, been running free ever since.
