Here's a picture of my girl Dorothy on the day she laid her first egg, she wasn't quite 19 weeks. That was last Friday and she hasn't missed a day laying since. Love this bird!


Just out of curiosity, how long do most of your RSLs live? I've read so many things on BYC about them having a lot of health issues and dying at 2 or 3 years. Any suggestions for keeping them healthy? I'm not supplementing light in the winter so she can take a break if she needs to, other than that I'm not sure what else I can do.
