If dehydration IS the problem, put out multiple waterers...the other roos can't guard them all!!

He wasn't around anything rotted but dehydration makes me think....maybe the other roos were keeping him away from the water.
I don't know, guess I'll keep a better eye on them.

I usually have young cockerels running around before re-homing them, and they will be kept from the food and water, just because they are being run off from the hens. I have to stick some extra water and feed stations away from the coop for them. Those plastic coffee cans make good extra waterers for this purpose.
