Hi all! I figured I'd introduce myself after lurking for a bit.

My name is Liv, and I live in Southern California. I work from home full time as a compliance specialist for a telemedicine company. My husband and I have a little human (she's 8), 5 dogs (4 herders and a husky mess), and soon to be multiple ducks! Right now we have George and Matilda, 2 Black Swedish ducklings. They're about a week old and doing well so far. We have more coming from Metzer (looks like delivery is Friday) - Silver Appleyard, Buff, Black Runner, Blue Swedish, Cayuga, and Welsh Harlequin.

* Photo from today. This bird bath gets very warm during the day, and feels like bath water. I refreshed the water, and these 2 loved splashing around in the summer sun and drying off on a warm towel afterward. *

I will share all the photos when they arrive! Looks like we can expect them on Friday, I just got the shipping notification. I've already got the 2 Black Swedish ducklings on the Durvet high level vitamin b complex (over peas), and nutritional yeast in their crumbles (Purina flock raiser). I ordered Mazuri starter to transition them over and that will be here Friday.

@Magnolia Ducks I know that when I introduce the 2 I have to the new babies, I should remove resources. I also know typically it's best to keep a barrier between them while they get used to one another. I do have a smaller brooder I could put them in temporarily but I'd appreciate any advice on that!

Congratulations on your adorable additions to the family. They're just so darn cute 🥰 Can't wait to see your others when you get them.

Oh my goodness, how beautiful (and handsome) they are. Also, love the swap in names! Babies should be here later this morning...
