The 5th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!

Still nothing from mine. I think the 4 quail eggs are history. Floated half of chicken eggs last night and no sign of movement. They are all blue or olive or chocolate so all you can make out is the air cell.
Should I wait till Sunday to give up or clean it out today?

I had two ducks hatch - out of all the eggs I put in. Easter hatches must be bad luck for me! I have been having great results - until this one.

Were you able to locate the coyote that got your birds?

Not yet, but I brought in my brother and my mom to help me shoot these things tonight (If I'm able to get out of bed.). We set up some traps to.

I hatched two chicks (but one died ;() and one duckling!!! Was hoping for a gosling, but he did not make it!!! ;(

Mine saved me from a snake the other day! I was walking up my drive way and I hear a his and I felt something bite me! I screamed and my fattest Hen comes running over grabs the snake and goes to town with it! Once it died, she looked up at me. I was like....

DH reports the eggs he set earlier in the month hatched it first overnight. That would be day 20.
