The American Paint Silkie

Thank you for starting this thread Judy. Finally picked up my 3 Paints today; I was suppose to have picked them up on Judy's way home from Shawnee...but the weather didn't cooperate. The pics I'm posting are ones that Judy took for me.

I'm soooo looking forward to working with this color, and hopefully hatching out lots of little Paints in the Spring
 
I cannot believe i found a thread about my favorite variety of my favorite chicken!!!! i want some paints so bad.... maybe for next Christmas

Their colors reminds me alot like Blue Merle collies!

Like the blue merle colors, crossing the merle to tricolors (black, white and tan) would give the best blue merles......so it makes since for these American Paint Silkies.

Yes, when they molt they come back the same. I asked specifically about that and Judy said that hers do like mine...not really fully molt...just sort of shed continuously during certain times.
