Hey Joy. Just checking in to say I candled this morning, and it looks like I've got quite a few little English Orps growing. It's been about a week, I guess. Fingers crossed.

We'll see what happens.

Well, how cool is that?! Have either of y'all candled? I just checked, and it's been 7 days here too.

Oh, and just thought I'd post this pic to show just how big these English girls are. I went to the coop last night, and one of my blue girls had gotten off her nest briefly to get a drink. I had to get this pic. This is what was in the nest box.

And she covers them very well. What a woman!!

Candled briefly. Lots of development. Some still hard to tell due to egg darkness. Had some loose aircells, DANG PO, so we'll see!

I counted, too!!!! I'm proud that I resisted the urge to go out to the coop with a tape measure.

This is Thelma, my only Black. I tell her she's "big boned" when the other chickens make fun of her size.

I love when they dust bathe, they turn into blue balls o' fluff and make craters in the yard!
