What treat did your chickies get today?

Gave my girls some okra today. Jury's still out on that, though.

Chicks (well 10 weeks old) and hens got mixed corn today, they went mad for it.

Blueberries earlier this week which they love, but seem to fight over who get thems.

leftover French Bread, their favorite! For some reason they do not seem to care much for veggies. Weird birds...LOL

Mine love tomatoes , squash and melon rinds . I raise extra tomatoes , squash and pumpkins for them . Pumpkins will keep in the garden until they freeze . Makes nice treats when everything else is gone .

I made mine a mixture of avocado, applesauce and filled it with mandarin oranges, blueberries, strawberries, peanuts and sunflower seeds, froze it and they loved it. They weren't sure at first, but once it thawed enough that I could break off a piece and hand feed it, they knew it must be food, and they loved it!
