How would you give zucchini? Grate it? And do you guys put the food on plates or in bowels..id hate it to get dirt on it?

I just throw it right on the ground or directly into the compost pile. They eat bugs. A little dirt is fine!

For most squash vegetables like zucchini I have found that my birds prefer it shredded in a food processor, they will also eat it if I slice it in half length wise or chip it in the food processor but they by far prefer it shredded...

Small amounts of dirt is not a bad thing for chickens to eat, it provides them micro and trace nutrients and is a perfectly normal eating behavior for them...

Access to my garden and the last of the tomatoes....like I could do anything to stop them....unlike the turkeys thrown out of a helicopter on the old "WKRP" television show from the 1970's, my chickens CAN fly if they put their minds to it.
