Mine got a "chicken salad" today

We have quite a few containers of the dry Gerber baby oatmeal and rice cereal, so i heated some water in a 2 cup measuring cup and adding cereal until i liked the consistency, then drizzled a little molasses in, poured out into a bowl and have it to the girls. The next thing i know, the bowl is empty. We also found a couple of huge earthworms that we handed out to a few lucky girls. They were so excited, running around the coop and then hiding in the nesting boxes with their prize.

It was wet all day yesterday and cold last night so this morning I made a buffet breaky for my girls, porridge, warm weetbix and milk and yogurt.
And they went crazy over their normal seeds and pellets.

Rain...huge amounts of rain. Most chickens don't enjoy rain, seems these girls think they are part duck.

Strawberries, celery, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, and cool whip today. Fridge clean out for farmer's markets tomorrow.

They got their water fountain running with "chicken gatorade" as the kids call it, its an electrolyte/vitimin supplement they love.

They also got let out into the green belt to forage, they REALLY love that!

Bucket of dandelion and various weeds from the garden.
Scooped out cantaloupe filled with some hard boiled egg, crumbles and kale. Chickens doing the happy dance

Its getting hot here so mine got watermelon and they loved it!!! Very happy chickens!
