What treat did your chickies get today?

I am going to give my girls yogurt for the first time today mixed with some fruit and BOSS. How much yogurt is an acceptable amount for a snack? I don't want to give them too much either.

Starter-grower or layer pellets (depending on age) mixed with homemade kefir.

My girls LOVE this and it keeps them busy for hours.

That cabbage was down to the size of an apple in a few hours and gone by the end of the day. I don't know how six chickens can eat so much cabbage. I couldn't stop watching the Cabbage Show on Chicken TV.

i would start with about a tablespoon of yogurt per bird...I am not sure, I know it is good for them but then I hear that birds don't process dairy

. I do put leftover yogurt in their fermented feed and rinse out milk jugs for the fermented feed water...I can't see how yogurt would be bad as long as no sugar/extras in it...something has to help them process all that cabbage

Introduced my birds to the larger second part of their run today. They really enjoy being outside in the sunshine.

Introduced my birds to the larger second part of their run today. They really enjoy being outside in the sunshine.

I just expanded my chickens yard/run area by 10ft. Literally a 10ft by 10ft square bigger. I have to repair part of the existing fence and then I will release them into the new section also.
