I cut a cabbage head out of the garden for tonight's supper.


So my chooks got all those big cabbage leaves that human families don't eat. They love those huge cabbage leaves.


They also got some black oil sunflower seeds.

I've been cleaning our flower beds and garden after the first frosts of the season. My chicks really like the marigolds and green tomatos. I've also fed them some sunflower sprouts that came up from BOSS that they couldn't reach.

Much the same. Green pepper tops, eggplant tops (fruit), green bean bits, a cucumber with worm inside (a special surprise), a palmetto roach, flax seed, oats, and their favorite mealworms.

Leftover warm oatmeal mixed with juice leftover from a can of mackeral I used a few days ago. I have NEVER seen my girls gulp something down so fast!
