My dog will jump out of the car and either stand there staring at me or run up to the front door waiting to be let in. I did not train her to do this at all.
This began last year when I was constantly taking my dog for car rides to Wilco and Dutch Bros. The first time it happened, she jumped into the passenger seat then managed to push past me out of the car and ran straight for the front door with her leash dragging behind her.
It happened a few more times before I started to unhook her leash as she kept almost tripping herself on it. Even though she hasn't attempted to take off out of the driveway, I still say her name which makes her either run to the front door or stand still waiting for me to get my things.
What would you call what she is doing?
