Aggressive Rooster Body Language

Very great article!
I was doing a bit of research on my Rooster Diego that is acting different. With the help of this great article, I was able to conclude that he is indeed aggressive. Bad boy!
I wanted him as my breeding rooster as he is a beautiful Silver Laced Wyandotte but....
Cool!
How did you try to train them out of it?
I have tried, but I don’t think my work was ever successful.
So either I accept it as a quirk or accept it as soup. 😅

I basically walk “through” them, quickly grab them or grab at them if they get too close to me, and chase them or pick them up if they’re acting too cocky (I only do all this if they’re actually showing aggressive behaviors). The ones I can train are usually cockerels who nip at my hands and boots. If they’re aggressive enough to try spurring me, I’ve found I usually can’t do anything about it
Helpful! I have a very aggressive rooster, we call him Hoombaba. So aggressive! He runs and attacks the men and I am always in a scuffle with him. Even though I have tried to hold
Him like a foot ball or pin him down. He is not long for this world! Pot pie here we come!
very interesting read.

Super helpful! Everyone talks about aggressive rooster behavior, but as a new chicken owner, I've really been struggling to identify the behavior in my one roo. These pictures help immensely! Hope someone is able to help by adding videos too.

Good article!

I do hope you get to add videos soon.
Informative. I hope you continue to add to this and refine it over time.
