If we were rating on looks only this would no doubt be a 10! However, we are suppose to rate according to many factors besides eye appeal and unfortunately this gorgeous coop didn't include them …
If the ratings were based on looks only, this coop would have scored a 10+! I love the way it looks, I adore the porch swing! But there were no instructions on how to build if we chose to. Or anything else for that matter, but it is gorgeous!
Don't take anything I say to personally because I'm a newbie at this chicken stuff! I don't even know what an open air coop is! I'm just trying to help the site out by rating some coops. I like the fact that you have a fully encaged area to keep your chicks save. The ramp that leads to what I guess is the coop doesn't look right to me ~ if I were a chicken and wanted to quickly get to my coop for protection, this ramp wouldn't do it for me. I can't really see inside your coop, but to me it appears only the top is covered. Again, if I were a chicken, I wouldn't feel safe or secure. To me it would be the same as a burglar breaking into my home and expecting me to feel safe by putting a lampshade on my head. I hope you understand how hard it was for me to be honest ~ which is what the site asks for in this rating thing. I hope I didn't hurt your feelings and please know that if I did ~ it was Unintentional ….
Bravo! This is a great coop for people who like to save money! (Like everyone I know! Including myself!) For those of you out there that think you can't afford the coop ~ WRONG!
Great coop! Loved the step by step instructions and pics! Would have liked to seen the feeder/waterer you were talking about ~ Your girls will be happy!
