:PApril 5th~ We did it, we finally brought home our first chicks!
3 carefully researched and planned Cochin peeps....and 1 persistant Sicilian buttercup (my first experience with chicken math)
Petri the banty EE joined us 2 weeks later....
Here they are at about 12 weeks old...
I brought home 2 banties when the other girls were 2 weeks old, we lost the first BR baby the first night and this baby was just not consolable and not ok with being able to see the others while she grew big enough so in she went and that was that!
She fit right in and now is actually the boss...

Our biggest Cochin. Mostly agreeable and cooperative, she is the least gregarious and likes to observe the goings on in a quiet self assured way. We are excited to see how she matures.
