Brooder without any heat source

Very informational article! It gave a lot of detail on how to have a brooder with no power. I love the mop idea; it looks like it gives the chicks the feel of being under a hen.

I saw something like this a few weeks ago, but not much detail was given in the original read. I had a mini-chick-emergency and NEEDED this exact article a few days ago. The details here are fantastic, the pictures are incredibly helpful, and the overall content is wonderfully informative. Fortunately, all of my chicks survived our latest fiasco; happily, I now know exactly how to create a heatless brooder going forward. Thank you!

Such a wonderful idea. I too will never do the "dusty brooder in the living room" again. I hope to try your idea/experiment in early spring with my new chicks.
