After deciding to get chickens, we decided to get the already hatched. So then came brooder making time.
It was super easy to make, and free, because we had all the supplies. I thought I'd share how we made it.

Our space heater has adjustable heat and our chickens are going to be already feathering when we get them, so heating isn't a huge issue. If the conditions are different for you, you may not want to use a space heater.
When we get our chickens I will update on how well(or not well) it worked.

- Playpen(container)
- Towel
- Newspaper
- Feeder
- Waterer
- Stick about the width of the play pen
- Space heater
Steps:
- Set up playpen
- Line bottom with towel
- Shred or rip up new/clean newspaper and place in playpen
- Put in waterer, feeder and stick
- Set space heater next to the brooder.
