Herb in the planter boxes make it smell great! and make nice treats for the birds.

We just made a move from Belgium ( 3 years from a Air Force move ) to Texas with lots of land and wanted to try our hand in Chickens! We don't have any build experience ! and we even had to buy all the tools. We needed a coop that can handle the very hot weather here in southern Texas 106! So lots of venting! We made our own plans and looked around at this wonderful site!
It is a 4x8 and 7feet at its peek with lots of roost and vents. Both ends open to do a clean sweep from one end to the other. The floor is covered in wire and then I have a heavy plastic covered board over it for the cooler days.
I swapped out the small feeders for large hanging feeders. We are going to make an auto feeders soon.
