Not silkies. I don’t use silkies, too many neurological disorders in that breed. Who ever made that breed didn’t bother to perfect them and rushed it into the market too soon.

Also Not a big fan of feather crests either, crested breeds can sometimes have mental retardation and die from making mistakes that chickens usually learn from and don’t repeat, even if they didn’t develop wry neck or get sick easily, not to mention they need to have their crests trimmed, thus they can’t survive well without human care kind of like sheep, which is something I don’t want in my breeds, all of my breeds can fully survive on their own and some are even immune to most viral diseases that are usually lethal to most breeds. Though I might use silkies in a future project for their downy feathers, after decresting them and getting rid of the feathered feet trait. The cassowarooster is that future project, I haven’t started that yet not even sure about the name, perhaps Dino Gallus would sound better. Market demands play a big impact on the way I make new breeds.

Yes same as many other ancient breeds even older than silkies yet many of them don’t exhibit side effects thanks to talented inventors future breeders. I’ve perfected the ones I own. I have silkies myself but mine exhibit no phenotypic difference only difference is genotypic “except for the De-crested silkies” I made .
Perfecting a purebred breed is easy for anyone who understands how classical genetics work. But most who have the talent and resources have no interesting in perfecting something someone els made just to leave the credit go for someone els. After all it’s not easy to proof you’ve improved something someone els made when there’s no visible physical difference. I improved mine for 2 reasons.
1. Purebred Silkies sell well especially if you guarantee their quality to your clients.
2. I plan on using their downy feathers for a future project. I’m not interested in getting credit for improving an already existing breed, I prefer to make something new and unique by myself. Things no one els got close to, because that sells well.
Just like all the other breeds I’ve invented or still working on. Like the cerato shamo, the hexadactyl, the gallus caeruleum, the turken super mix, and a few others.

The iconic trait of the hexadactyl isn’t the coloration it’s their 2 additional toes on each foot. I can’t see if that pullet has 4 or 6 toes.
Hexadactyls can be any color I even have a rainbow waynedotte specimen produced from the rainbow wayandottes I made.
They’re also dwarfs not medium sized. I haven’t produced medium or large hexadactyls yet but I do plan on using AI on them to produce a large shamo hexadactyls.
And the last images below are of the tar black hexadactyls these two are also sub adults generation 2.
