Very interesting and informative article!
Must read for chicken owners focused on egg laying. This helped me a while back figuring out issues I had within my flock. Once I straightened things out my eggs have never been better, all thanks to this article!

More pictures would always be a plus, just to show the range of appearance of a single defect. Otherwise this article is perfect.
Very well put together. Thank you.
just what I need: comprehensive, easy to understand
Very comprehensive article on egg shell issues. Thank you for the info.
Very helpful article which helps to understand the small egg blemishes which sometimes appear. Presumably low light levels stops the ova from being released hence no winter eggs. I thought some breeds of hen always lay speckled eggs such as Barnvelders?
This is the most informational article I have ever read about the formation of an egg. It’s a great tutorial!
A very educational and informative article in relation to eggs and the mothers that lay them. I recommend, not a hard or boring read.
Great article with plenty of reference photos!
