No but really, my two recent Serama chicks (bad batch out of over 12 only 2 were fertile) sadly I bought them didn't produce them.

Non sadly if thats even a thing??? Well my two babies have finally tonight been sent outside.

I have CCTV covering them and heat pads at the ready if needed but they are feathered and enjoyed days of time outside. It's not too cold here..

Anywho... in the indoor "pen" I had them in , I put a part of fake grass in there for them, they absolutely loved it. So when I built up their temporary coop (being used so my other chickens can meet and greet without harm) I put the fake grass right outside the sleeping compartment as they were stood there in the rain like idiots.

I shoved them in the house area and they kept bolting out to get to the grass so I put it in there ●● they stayed in for a while, then came back out and sat in the same spot. .. I've had to out bricks in front of their door as it doesn't have one that can close and although we have dogs guarding the chickens from predators, I don't want them getting wet and cold still being young. The coop they are in is fully kitted with CCTV to view them on a night and fully padded with their fake grass and straw. My big girls met them today, my friendly girl said hello a few times, my other two large girls ran away screaming a few times. My Serama and silkie didn't once go to investigate. . Doesn't help when I'm hoping the two mini baby Seramas can hopefully soon be housed with my older ones. I wanted to share photos and also ask advice regarding this, my adult hybrid chickens chase my elder silkie and Serama still but they don't harm them They rush in to steal food so mealtimes are a farce... with my Serama and silkie not showing interest most likely due to the big girls showing interest, how would I best introduce them? Maybe put the new 4ft pen inside the run of the Serama and silkie and lock the door for a couple of days?

Any advice appreciate and still gender unconfirmed with these two but if you can suggest a name go for it. I'd appreciate that too haha
