Our first experiance with chickens, we found some nice R.I.Reds about 1 year old-5 hens and 1 roo.
3 weeks after the move 3 hens have now started to lay.
We recycled the kid's play house and turned it into the chicken house complete with roosts and outside accessable nest boxes.
We converted a kennel to an enclosed run for when we are not around and an attached much larger run with a 6' fencesince we have dogs "& predators.
We have also got some White Silkie chickens. Were excited to have some new pets and fresh eggs! We also got a batch of eggs in a homeade incubator to hopefully increase our flock!
