These are all great references ... and not just for beginners. The Storey's Illustrated Guide has some drool-worthy breed pictures!
Thank you for pulling this together. I was fortunate enough to get Storey's guide recommended to me before starting with chickens last spring. This article would have been great to have then - and I'm planning on reading a few more of this list now. Really great article!
