every chicken keeper fears their flock will be dragged away by a group of fox, so i thought of some ways to keep them out.
1.
walking out at random times.
walk out to the coop to check on them at random times, dont go out to the coop at the same times each day. the fox will find a pattern and attack when it knows that you aren't there. you may need to go out at random times in the night too. This trick works on most pests.
2.
game cams
Put out some game cams surrounding the coop and run, i prefure getting ones that give you a notifacation on your devices once it sees movement.
3.
bury the chicken wire.
bury your chicken wire surounding the rin at least 2 ft deep. this will prevent digging.
4.
remove things that the fox can hide in or under, this makes the fox uncomfertable .
5.
if you can consiter getting a dog, they can alert you when a fox is near.
6.
block all holes
block holes that a fox can fit thru as soon as you see them! this prevents fox from squeezeing thru hole to get to your flock.
i made this artical cus i reasontly had two loved chicks get torn apart by foxes, take care!
