~ Buddy Lee ~
My German Shepherd/Beagle mix, Buddy has been through a lot in the past. Being the animal lover of my family, he is my favorite ( and only) dog I've ever had. I grew up with him soo, he's very special to me. Anyways, he's had yeast problems in his ears his whole life and we've tried numerous things to get rid of it, but it's really stubborn. So last year in February (2011) we left Buddy alone at our house, outside, and our neighbors were feeding him. We were only gone a few days and when we came back Buddy's ears were swollen like a big balloon... it was not pretty. Apperantly, it was a hymatoma (sp?) and he had to have surgery. He was about 10 years old then, so we were actually going to put him down. But, thankfully, we got the money and he had his surgery. For about the first 5 months Buddy was doing really good, then he took a turn for the worst and his ear started to get hard and his hair stopped growing back. His ear has been like that for like 4 months and it's getting worse, or at least that's what I think. He's 11 years old now and itching and and scraching his ear like crazy. I really hope he'll be okay, but you never know.
Please pray for him, because I would hate to lose him, he's like my best friend who gets me through everything. Him and my cat are best friends, buddy's like a role model for my cat, Dreamy. So, yep, this is Buddy's story and it has inspired me to become a veterinarian in the future, and that is what I plan on doing
