MATERIALS AND HOW TO'S
You will need 4 Pop up tent poles
4'X50' roll of chicken wire
any pop up poles will work..
use pole to measure length leaving extra wire 6 inches longer than popup pole on each end to allow for securing sections to ground so nothing can Get in or out
SO FAR SO GOOD ON MINE AND SNOW ISN'T AN ISSUE..IF U DON'T COVER IT THAT IS AND WE GOT A FOOT OF SNOW IN LIKE 7 HOURS SO THERE'S NOT MUCH RUNNING AROUND ROOM BUT I CAN BARELY GET THEM OUTSIDE AT ALL..WHIMPS.. LOL
THIS ALL COST ME ONLY 20.00!!!
THAT'S IT
Weave first tent pole in 6 inches from edge closest to camper/coupe this will be end u attach to coupe
cut to length of tent pole for measuring no measuring tape needed leaving an extra 6 inces longer than pole on each end to allow for extra to secure to ground
..i recomend digging down a bit if u can to bury extra..
but that step comes almost very last (securing to ground.)
Cut second section of length using first section as a guide and use pole #2 to sew both sections together by over lapping one 4' section (only 6 inches) over the other 4' section..shows in pic 1 and 2
keeping sections already sewn flat pic #2
Sew together overlapped 2 sections in a weaving fashion using every other hole in chicken wire in a straight line .. pic 1...
this creates sturdiness u will feel happening as u sew together.
Repeat steps until all three, 4 foot sections are connected by sewing overlapped sections together as described above
Using the 4th pole (similar to the very first section)
sew the pole thru end but inset 6 inches from very end of the last 4 foot section (doing exact opposite than the section closest to camper)
leaves extra at very end to close the very end piece up...
One hr to set it up n 45 min more to close up the gaps and make it escape proof/ break in proof
Using 2 pple one on each end or sides whatever, pop up each section by arching pole one by one until u have a green house shaped fully enclosed, tried and true, safe, quick, roaming pen!!
attach section with pole inset 6 inches .. use extra 6 inches ro secure by
Secure sides to ground after popping each section up,
I used stakes every 6 inches along each 12 ft side then we got a freeze so she's set good..
Close end in with chicken wire can use extra 6 inches at end to weave end piece on
Chickens in roaming pen in under 2 hrs
Tip..access door..I didn't do that lol
MATERIALS used
4'x50 ft chicken wire
4 POP UP TENT POLES
4 GREEN STEP IN FENCE POSTS
THE REST WE GATHERED ON THE FLY..
refer to above for instructions pics show it too
UPDATE: WORKS FINE WITH HEAVY SNOW AS LONG AS U DON'T COVER IT..ID RECOMMEND AN ACCESS DOOR OF SOME SORT AS I HAVE TO DISSASEMBLE THE END TO GET INSIDE PEN..
HINDSIGHT.. SNOW BUILDS UP UNDER WHERE COUPE HATCH OPENS TO THE COUPE BUT MY CHICKENS ARE PUSSIES AND DON'T DO SNOW ...LOL
MY BF IS SUPER CREATIVE TO COME UP WITH THIS SIMPLE CONSTRUCTION.. HE THINKS OUTSIDE THE BOX
