Raising and Caring for Goslings

I gave this site five star because it was very very helpful to me. I am a first time incubating and hatching an egg, so I need all the help I can get and this was very informational.

Good info, especially for the person new to raising geese!

Only things I'd like to add are:
1) Goslings (and geese) really don't fare well alone. Unless you're prepared to be with them 24/7 for the rest of their lives, get at least two.
2) Goslings are very curious and active, and they live to tug at and chew stuff. Make sure their brooder contains something safe for them to chew like sturdy baby toys or blocks of grass turf. Otherwise they may either chew each other's down/feathers or ingest something harmful to them.

I'd like to hatch some goose eggs, so I'm reading up on raising goslings. Nice introduction for beginners. Thanks!

The statement that geese graze like horses opened my eyes. Their run is full of sprouts and weeds, but letting them graze on pasture would be better for them. Thanks to the author for sharing this knowledge!
