Roll Out Nest Box Mk3

Great idea. I was concerned about switching to non-roll-out if I want hens to go broody, but you've even included that in the design, with the lift-up floor.

I love the idea of the hens being able to share the same next box area.

A piece of rubber or even an old piece of linoleum would work to keep the hinge joint dry. Just extend it across the top piece of roof, maybe tilt the box outward a touch so rain would run off the roof to the outside.
You sure have some great ideas.

An efficient nest box for collecting clean eggs and for housing several hen's. The to-scale drawings for parts are included in attached pdf files. Photos are clear and commentary is helpful. The author is creative and modest.
