She's so Vain...She probably thinks this song is about her!

My beardless silver laced polish is so vain! Her name is Elvis and she spends a lot of time in front of the mirror. We think it is because she likes to hang out with the pretty chicken! :) [IMG]

We are new to chickens and got her because the chick my son picked out as a wee one turned out to be a roo. He fell in love with her hairstyle and decided he had to have her. She is pretty funny. Peculiar, even, but warming up to us. She eats yogurt with chia seeds daily, it is her favorite treat.

If the big door to the coop is open she likes to sit on the opening to the little door, with her back to the rest of the chickens.

And she is always the first one on the roost at night. Love this quirky bird!

She is absolutely stunning! Someday I hope to get a few Polish to add to my flock. Who knew (back in my childhood) that chickens could be so good-looking? Lovely bird!

I absolutely love this photo! I normally go straight to the forum but decided to check out the home page. So glad I did as this picture is one of the best I've ever seen. I wish POW could be seen at the top of forum page.

I have a Welsummer rooster named Elvis ... this winter his comb got frostbitten and his points fell off. He healed up well, no infection, but now he has a very suave comb ...he is back in with his hens as of last night.
