A good read for someone like myself who is thinking of adding a couple of turkeys. The article would be greatly enhanced by adding a couple of links to more in- depth information on needs of feed, housing and type of turkey.

I really like that this article covers most issues that one needs to consider before adding turkeys. It can help those researching first to decide if turkeys are right for them. Well written.

This article is useful as far as it goes, but it doesn't go very far into pros, cons, space needs, housing needs, brooding needs, etc. 1/8 acre for a dozen turkeys doesn't translate well into either "A couple BB meat birds to harvest for the holidays" or "A breeding pair (trio? ??? -- what is the usual male-to-female ratio anyway?), and their offspring for sustainable harvesting."

More depth and detail could be added to make this article more helpful.
