The "Calcium Booster Feed" For Your Chickens

Great information on reasons to feed the shells back to the hens! I always try to remember to toss mine back to the birds, the ones that want it and need it, gobble them down pretty quickly!
Egg shells are the easiest to find and most often overlooked calcium supplement on the market. Thanks for the reminder!
Excellent advice for every kind of poultry! I crush the shells of our Duck's eggs and mix them with the crushed Oyster shells, so i don't have to buy those every month.
I also save the egg shells for my hen's. I rinse the shell's and remove the layers of "skin" on the inside of the shell's. Then I dry the shell's over night and then crush them. When there is enough of the crushed shell's, you can add them to the feed as mentioned. I also like to scramble up a couple of eggs, and then chop that up to add to it.
