ISLAND INFO:
• This country was discovered by King Landchester, who began shipping boatloads of people willing to populate his new island. They first arrived at what is now called Bayport, where a large city was built with many taverns, pubs, hotels, and wooden streets in the more heavily populated part of the cities. Boats and docks were quickly build, and you’ll rarely find a person living in Bayport who doesn’t have a ride by sea, either rented or owned. Merchants began shipping to and fro, making many quickly rich, but also attracting pirates.
• The Bay Gate was created in an attempt to keep pirates and attacking countries away, and the King’s soldiers guard the gate day and night. The gate always stays closed at night, but opens in the morning unless closed to keep threats out. Crews who aren’t Loyalists (supporters of the King) aren’t permitted in or out of the gate.
• Lookout Point was built with a similar thought in mind, to give the King’s soldiers a point to scout on potential attackers, and doubles as a weather-watching point in case of a hurricane.
• In a smaller cove below Bayport, a smaller town was soon built, attracting quite a few more pubs and bars, which quickly led to thievery and pirate attraction. The Pirates’ Cove state is highly uncontrolled, and an excellent place for many an illegal affiliation and project to be taken place in.
• Neustadt was aptly named by the immigrants who arrived there, and appears to many to be more of a refugee town; and though it is a simple state, the occupants have many taverns, shops, and cute smaller city centers where many open their shops daily to sell their many products or produce. Though it is between two rougher states, Neustadt is a relatively trusting (though clever) little town, and many attempt to leave its purity with it.
• North is a city heavily populated with the King’s supporters, and is also the grounds where his army trains and bunks. It is also the place where the King keeps a majority of the Centuars in captivity in a large compound.
Freedman is in a similar state as North, though the occupants there believe themselves to be more self-governing, which in a sense is slightly true, though the whole state is still controlled by the King.
• Landchester, named after the King but resentfully called “South” by the Rebels, grew to despise the rule of the King, and began growing an army to revolt against him. King Landchester didn’t take the rebellion seriously until the surprisingly large Rebellion army forced the King’s soldiers out of South in a sudden battle that lasted a shockingly short four days. It’s now the largest state uncontrolled by the King.
• Newhale, the majority of the population agreeing with the movement of the Rebels, joined the Rebels’ side in defiance against the King and is now populated by Rebel soldiers as well.
New Bayport was a state created in an attempt to re-create Bayport, but under Rebel control. It never flourished as highly as Bayport, though many Rebels and Loyalist traitors live there to spite the King.
Undermine was an aptly named state as its original intention by the King was to start spreading northwest in order to slowly begin taking over Indian Territory. He denies this purpose and resents the name of the state, but has been pressing towards the Indians anyway. Progress, however, has stopped on an account of the uprising of the Rebels. Many squatters, Loyalists and Rebels alike, take the creation of this state as a golden opportunity to populate it, and many do since the King doesn’t tax the residents because of his refusal to declare Undermine as a real state.
King Landchester does, however, plan to use Undermine as a chance to get to the Rebel base one day and has quietly been moving his army towards the state.
Indian Territory is loosely populated by Indians, and gives a “breather” to the Mythics of the Island, who mostly resent the colonists’ takeover since they’re killed or hunted by humans.

Wyverns, being one of the largest Mythics and therefore giving them a tougher time when it comes to staying hidden, gathered together to create a place where they could go without being prosecuted and be safe on one of the southern parts of the island, where there are large cliffs and crags; making it nearly impossible for humans to traverse. It’s called, by humans and wyverns alike, the Wyvern Grounds.
Many colonists know that the wyverns live in this area, though not specifically where. They created a massive cavern in the high mountains, large enough for their young wyrms (children) to learn to fly and breathe flames safely. However, hunting takes them far away from the safety of the caves, which is the least amount of risk a wyvern can run into in their lifetime.
• The Lighthouse is a large, fortress-like watchtower build used by the King’s soldiers as a lookout point.
• The King’s Army Barracks is where a majority of King Landchester’s troops stay and train, and is also the location of the Centaurs’ Compound.
• The Main Indian Camp is where a majority of the Indians live, and is led by the neutral Chief Pottaw. The Second Main Indian Camp, though very similar to the first camp, is led by a different person; Chief Bensawe, who is Pottaw’s son and slightly more hot-headed. Though these are the main two camps, many smaller Indian camps are scatter throughout the entirety of the Indian territory.
• The Centaur Graveyard is rumored as haunted by almost everyone but the centaurs. For them, the site is a place to be revered and respected. Every centaur is buried there, with exceptions to traitors and ignoble ones, or in the case that the body cannot be recovered. Most nights, fog spreads across the plane, and in the daytime, it usually grows warm. People say these are the spirits tampering with the weather, but this is untrue.
• The King, upon the arrival of any immigrants that he did not bring himself to the country, pushed the newcomers into a new place of their own, not realizing that they’d end up creating a state of their own. The Immigrant State. Many who live there speak their home languages, but most know English.
• The Rebel Base is a small city converted into a base of operations by the Rebels. They have a tall tree-trunk wall surrounding the city, and guards posted everywhere. Though cautious of everyone and everything, the supporters surrounding the city has caused their guard to be lifted slightly.
• The Harpies and the Phoenixes, being more solitary creatures, created Birds’ Point together. It’s similar to the Wyvern Grounds, but the cliffs are smaller and would be considered by some to be more of “hills.” Very tall trees also grow around the place, which make great perching points, and the beach in the area is rocky and bare, which is a perfect place for the Phoenixes to practice using fire.
• The Ruined Sirens’ City used to be ruled by the malevolent Queen Sijure, but upon the destruction of her army in a heavy hurricane on land during a fight on the pre-Bayport bay between the Indians in an attempt to rule the land as well as the sea; and her assassination by one of her once-friend, the city was abandoned and none of the remaining Sirens wished to rule after such a destructive monarch. The city is in full ruins now, and rarely visited.

MYTHIC INFO:
Werewolf (where-wolf):
Werewolves are very difficult to find, as they appear to be a typical human in daytime. However, after the sun sets and the moon rises, they transform. Werewolves usually stand on two legs and are covered in fur. They grow a tail, wolflike ears, fangs and claws and double in size; this is called The Changing.
Only their eye color and consciousness stay the same. Werewolves can run very fast on four legs, and become stronger than their human selves. They’re very dangerous to fight, especially in packs.
Getting bit by a Werewolf results in you turning into a Werewolf, though they have a code that only allows one Werewolf to bite a maximum of two people during their entire lifetime.
The Changing occurs every day after the sun sets, even if the moon isn’t visible. The only night it doesn’t occur is during a New Moon. During the night, they are able to sneak in the shadows and forests using a very heightened sixth sense to stay undercover from humans. They’re usually thought of as wolves instead of sentient creatures, and are thought to be evil spirits by Indians.

Satyr (say-ter): Satyrs stand on two legs and are goatlike from the waist down, complete with coarse fur, hooves, and small tails. Other than their horns, ears, and short stature, Satyrs are very human-looking and able to blend in with most crowds.
Most Satyrs immerse themselves with the hustle and bustle of a big colony, and will break or saw off their horns in order to help blend in.
While most Satyrs are hard to find, they are somewhat easy to fight, though very agile. They aren’t afraid of even the highest ledges, and are quite skillful in inventing and creating things, as well as playing music; and are passionate about drinking.

Siren (si-ren): Sirens are called by many names, including mermaids, sea dragons, sea monsters and fish-people. Though the rumor is that they sing to sailors to lead them to a watery doom, and their their eyes are magic, this is untrue. The many rumors are spread by man’s fear of the deep, unexplored ocean.
Some Sirens have scaled, dolphinlike tails that appear in place of their legs when they come into contact with water on their lower half, while some have legs and a scaled, fishlike tail that does not disappear. It’s harder for these Sirens to blend in, and they usually stay underwater.
Otherwise, Sirens have gills in the sides of their necks, stiff webbed spines down their backs, and webbed frills in place of their ears. Their eyes are usually an odd yellowish color which narrow in bright light. They also have sharp teeth and nails.
Sirens do not have an organized kingdom underwater, and typically live alone. It can be difficult to hide on land, but the ocean is an easy escape route for them, which is why most live near the bays and ports. Sirens can be dangerous to fight, and lethal in water. They’re usually thought of as fish or sea monsters instead of sentient creatures.

Wolfwalker (wolf-walk-er): Wolfwalkers are humans whose spirits leave their bodies and turn into physical wolves when they fall asleep (whether they like it or not, any time of day). Traditionally, they are led by an Alpha male and female, though the latest Alpha male was killed not that long ago by a colonist. A new Alpha male hasn’t taken the role of leader yet, as they’re afraid of angering his mate, the Alpha female, who’s been in grief ever since his death. The Beta male, who has no mate, has taken on the unofficial role of ‘leader,’ though he refuses to be named Alpha.
Although unknown to the colonists (who don’t know of their existence and assume that they are just regular wolves once transformed), they can heal wounds by placing a paw, or hand, on the wound. The bigger the wound though, the more Wolfwalkers are needed to heal it.
A Wolfwalker’s human body sleeps while it’s in wolf form, so it’s not affected by tiredness due to the wolf activities, and vise-versa.
Wolfwalkers (in wolf form) are able to ‘see by smell’ and have a powerful sense of it. They’re also either killed or ignored by colonists when spotted, though there is no way to decern a Wolfwalker in human form other than their healing powers and their ability to understand other Wolfwalkers in wolf form (who cannot speak English), and that their spirits turn into wolves once asleep.
The wolf form of Wolfwalkers do not need to sleep, but in order to wake their human body back up, their spirit needs to return back to the body, or else it will continue sleeping. If either wolf or human form die, the other will as well.
Wolfwalkers, except for the Alphas, are not allowed to bite other humans. The Alphas may only bite three humans per year, and they will become Wolfwalkers (which can be distressing to new people once asleep unless the situation is explained).

Phoenix (fee-nix): Phoenixes are human-looking other than the warm-colored wings protruding from their backs, bright eyes, and birdlike clawed hands. They have feathered crests where their ears should be, and a strong sixth sense. They have assassin-like abilities, and can fly. They can also control flames and hold/create fire in their hands without being injured. It’s rumored that they can light their whole selves on fire, and throw flames at their enemies, but that is untrue.
A Phoenix’s feathers are rumored to contain magical abilities to heal, and are usually hunted (mostly by Indians, though some also worship them) though the rumor is untrue. It is also believed that if a dead body is burned, that their spirit becomes a Phoenix, so it is avoided by all except the Phoenixes, who traditionally burn their dead. They use capes to disguise their wings when they traverse into towns for foods that they are particular to.

Harpy (har-pee): Harpies are said (though it is an unpopular rumor), to be able to turn their victims to stone just by looking at them, and that their songs lure men into swamps and lakes just to drown them, though both rumors are untrue. Harpies have dark grey or black wings protruding from their backs for flying, clawed hands, and feathered crests where their ears should be just like Phoenixes; the Harpies’ sixth sense is stronger though.
Harpies are solitary, and have assassin-like abilities, which is what they’re hired for sometimes by those brave enough to try and find one and ask.
Harpies can talk to birds whom, to a certain extent, can understand what’s being said.
A more popular rumor is that they don’t even really exists, though many know the is not the case. Harpies usually traverse into towns under the cover of night, if they do so at all, and are controversially called good spirits that make crops grow by Indians.

Wyvern (why-vern): Wyverns look like heavyset humans except for their large, dragonlike wings, horns, sharp teeth, and slitted eyes. Their throats and mouths are lined with fireproof skin and scales which grow in as they age, giving them the later ability to breathe flames without being injured.
Though very strong, Wyverns can be unwieldy in a fight with an agile person and have weak senses other than smell. They tend to never go into towns, as they would be spotted almost immediately due to their unconcealable wings. Wyverns rarely speak, but when they do their voices are deep. They dislike humans immensely because of the hunters that are sent after them due to the mostly untrue rumors that Wyverns mindlessly burn villages and travelers that cross their paths and hoard treasure. They are thought to be spirits of death and greed by the Indians.

Aqrabaumelu (ack-rah-bow-a-meloo): Aqrabaumelu (often just called Scorpions for simplicity) look like humans except for their venomous barbed tails, sharp nails, sharpened canines, and yellow slitted eyes. They’re surprisingly agile, and their skin is tougher than normal human skin. Aqrabaumelu are dangerous in a fight, but don’t depend on their combat skills as much as the fact that they can strike their enemies with their lightning-quick venomous tail and leave them to painfully die. Aqrabaumelu are skilled with poisons, typically using their own venom in their concoctions, but have an fickle sixth sense that works sometimes, but doesn’t at other times. Aqrabaumelu have very good assassin skills, though are more likely to kill you rather than listen to an offer.
They’re believed and feared to be demons who can possess men by Indians and colonists alike, and are killed on sight. Aqrabaumelu are solitary, and tend to be slightly crazy because of so.

Raptor (rap-tor): Raptors are never spoken of as an existing type of creature, though some knowledgeable men know that they are real, and fear them. It is said that if you want a difficult assassin job done well, you spread the word in nearby taverns and pubs that you “need a job done” and a Raptor will find you.
No one has ever been reportedly killed by a Raptor, but then again, no one’s ever found a trace of a body that a Raptor’s been sent after either.
Raptors have three toes, the inside ones bearing large, dangerous sickle-shaped claws. They have smooth grey or brownish scaled tails, and clawed talons for hands. They have sharpened canines, and eyes that slit in bright light.
Raptors have quick reflexes, and are very agile; with a heightened sixth sense that makes it difficult to sneak up on. They’re rumored to be able to turn invisible and be able to kill with their unsettling stares, but that is untrue.
Though living mostly in solitude, Raptors meet each other quite often, and swiftly recover each other in the event that one is captured or threatened with death. They are clever, conniving creatures who can usually wander into towns without being noticed.

Centaur (sen-tar): Centaurs have the upper body and head of a human, and the lower body and legs of a horse. They’re very rare because it is so difficult for them to hide, and most that exist are captive to the army because of their impeccable fighting abilities, as well as be ridden into battle.
Centaurs are known for their vast knowledge of the stars, and when they were once free, would follow the stars year-round. Some say the stars speak to them, while most know that is not true. Centaurs are very wise, and usually pacifist unless strongly provoked, then they are very skilled warriors.
Centaurs usually have a Stallion King that leads them, but are unable to have one because of their scattered captivity. They are very traditional, including burying the dead in a certain Centaur Graveyard (rumored by colonists to be haunted and never explored or looked for), having a Stallion King, and blessing their colts with their own sword once they reach the age ten while every Centaur raises their sword in honor.
It is honorable to die in battle, and dishonorable to retreat without order; as well as shameful to have a human ride upon their back.
Unfortunately, with the recent captivity, they’re also unable to carry out most of their traditions.

Age: 27
Species: Harpy

Galen’s father was known amongst the Rebels as one of the Harpys more willing to carry out assassinations and with every successful mission, he became more proud of himself and wanted his son to follow in his footsteps. Galen however despised his father and the cruelness he showed while training and conditioning his son in combat and stealth. He did learn but vowed never to aid his father with the skills he had forced upon him.
One day his Father didn't come back from his nightly escapade and Galen was left alone.
Later, He took up bladesmithing as a hobby and then a source of some income in case he ever needed a bit of money.

He now lives in hatred towards humans and harpies alike, hating one for his enslavement and one for the freedom they possess. He is loyal to no one but the highest payer and hunts Harpies down to sell their large feathers which are used in clothing for royalty or just the very wealthy. He has ways of seemingly melting into the shadows and is skilled in combat as one would have to be to survive his "profession"

First Character
Name: Ember
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Species: Pheonix/Harpy hybrid
Physical Appearance: Tall and slender, light frame. Large, crow-black wings with crimson-red tips. Long, black, wavy hair with streaks of red. Black crest feathers with crimson-red tips. Pale skin complexion and black claws, bright red eyes. A long, thin scar on her right cheek.

Personality: Self-reserved and cold toward others, generally bad-tempered and on edge, but good at masking her emotions completely. She keeps her feelings to herself but is bluntly honest about her opinions, thoughts, and distaste toward others. She doesn't usually hurl insults, but will underhandly or directly condescend or verbally jab others if irritated or in a bad mood. Usually quiet and observant, she is a brooding loner and prefers to stay and work alone. Often brushes off other's quests and opinions as unimportant, and has a distaste for most, if not, all forms of society. She views humans as foolish, and finds the colonists in particular pathetic, loud, and pointlessly violent. She exceeds in stealth and could usually be considered a good assassin, but she doesn't accept jobs from anyone unless their motives conveniently line up with hers. Internally, she is haunted by her past and always has a fear of her experiences reoccurring on others, even humans. She keeps a distance to avoid being hurt by or hurting others. Her primary goal is to intervene whenever "fools think they can do whatever they want in the world".
Backstory (optional): Ember grew up on the border of what is now Undermine when it was still Indian Territory. She never remembered her parents and was raised by an elderly human along with another Harpy, who was blind, named Heron. Heron was her best friend, and he helped balance Ember's firey and often reckless personality, and by the time she was 14, she started to care about him as more than a friend, though she never knew if he felt the same. During a push of the king's forces from Undermine, they were forced to flee, and eventually, Heron and Ember were left on their own as their caretaker couldn't continue with them. Since Heron couldn't see, he had never learned how to fly, and Ember wouldn't leave him behind, so they were forced to run on foot. They ended up in Lanchester eventually and hid for several days in an abandoned building damaged from the rebellion battle for the state. They were discovered by a small gang of humans who hunted Mythics before the rebellion movement in Lanchester, and while trying to escape, Heron was shot. He used the last of his dying strength to protect Ember while she escaped on her own.

Physical Appearance: 5'10, average build, light brown eyes, short, wavy blonde hair. Has a small scar above and to the right of his upper lip that gives him a bit of a sideways smirk whenever he smiles.
Personality: Smug and cocky, he can be rather insufferable around others, especially those lower in authority. He has a bit of a self-righteous attitude, but is very cunning, and doesn't allow his ego to interfere with his judgment- it's mostly for show. He doesn't hardly ever show how he really feels about almost everything, not even around his twin brother. More to be RPed later.
Backstory (optional): Alex's father is a high-ranked general in the King's order, and Alex has been working his way to try and live up to his standards his whole life. His mother was killed by a Wyvern when he was 12, and he has despised and hunted Mythics ever since. He is now an officer at the Centaur compound in North State.

Third Character
Name: Nautalis (Nathalie as a cover name)
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Species: Siren
Physical Appearance: Golden orange, slitted eyes. Curly black hair, that stops just below her shoulder blades. Medium skin (think Caribbean-ish), small, slender build. Frills and webbed ridge are a smoky light blue, and she has a dark, turquoise blue tail when in water.
Attire: She keeps a silken, sea-green scarf wrapped over her head and around her neck, protecting her ears and gills from view. She wears loose, light clothes to help keep her ridge concealed, and if she needs to swim, her clothes won't weigh her down. She rarely wears shoes.
Personality: Very poised and silent, she keeps a strong, emotionless, and generally mysterious expression and personality. To be RPed.
Backstory (optional): Nautalis was raised by her father between the coast of Lookout Point and the abandoned Siren city, and she left home when she was 14, seeking to join the fight against the humans.
She is allied with the Rebellion and stays around Pirates Cove as an Assasin, mostly patrolling the docks and watching for potential Loyalists or activity from the King there. She has recently heard of rumors from Rebellion spies of the King's plan to destroy the Rebellion base through Undermine.

@Lacy Duckwing

First Character
Name:  Gecko
Gender: Male
Age: 23
Species: Harpy
Physical Appearance: Dark Grey wings and a stocky build. Wears earthly colored clothes like navy green and light brown. His clothes typically look worn or even torn as his hygiene isn't exactly a high priority in his life.
Personality: A bit out there. He's got a tendency to get his mind set on someone and obsesses about them, typically until he defeats them. He's very patient in that aspect and will wait hours to even an overnight watch for his person of interest to come out of their safety so he might go after them. He also has a tendency to do this weird laugh while watching them or to make himself known by them to make his chase more fun.
Backstory (optional): Gecko wasn't a well-known character in his early days and, at one point, it was believed that he had died. It wasn't until he met a high-class vacationer that he became known. He met the person early on in the person's vacation and something hit Gecko: That person became his first obsession. For the rest of that person's vacation, Gecko was constantly after him and had trapped him on a large boulder for many days. The high-class person eventually escaped, though he never left Gecko's mind. Gecko dreams of one day capturing the high-class person, in whom he refers to as "Tesla."

Second Character
Name: Jintao Balík
Gender:  Male
Age: 26
Species:  Human
Physical Appearance: He is completely missing his right arm. He's tall with black hair. He's underweight, which may be due to his missing arm (he was right-handed before he lost his arm) and his depression.
Personality: On the outside, he appears to hold himself together for the most part with politeness and following the rules. On the inside, he can be quite the opposite. From his past pains, he's grown sour and resentful. He battles depression, which sometimes causes him to be incapable of doing the things he should (like taking care of himself and such).
Backstory (optional): Jintao was once a pirate and a pirate's first mate for a time. Things inside him began changing as he began questioning if the pirate life was really for him. Then one day, while on a raid, he began disagreeing with the other pirates due to the ship they were attacking. Because of his disagreement, the other pirates turned on him and he abandoned ship. He was then rescued by fishermen and later, he was found by the King's soldiers and taken prisoner. Nobody knows what happened during his imprisonment, nor will he talk about it. It is rumored that it was the King's soldiers who cut off his right arm, but nobody really knows. He was secretly forced to be loyal to the King and is to report anything he may see amiss to the King's soldiers. (The soldiers may order a surprise meeting with him at any time.) He is also not allowed to have weapons of any type due to his past of being a pirate. Failure to comply is punishable by death, so the soldiers have told him.

Third Character
Name: Claura Wilson
Gender: Female
Age: 29
Species: Human
Physical Appearance: A little on the shorter side with long, wavy brown hair. She keeps herself well-maintained and in a good posture.
Personality: A bit outgoing, though with constant suspension just below the surface. She can get a little comical at times, especially when thinking of her secret crush.
Backstory (optional): She has worked with both detectives and officials alike ever since she was a kid. Since her father died a couple of years ago, she's been looking for more subtle jobs that are less stressing.

Fourth Character
Name: Liam Contour
Gender: Male
Age: 25
Species: Human
Physical Appearance: He's about average in height and in weight. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He wears basic civilian clothes, though he typically wears darker colors.
Personality: He wants to be trusted by those higher than him and is willing to prove that at all cost. He prefers to hold himself with confidence, even if he's doing something he's never done before.
Backstory (optional): Liam was once in charge of raids and other illegal business when working on the pirate ship, the Destruction. After being tricked by the evil crew, he rebelled and joined King Landchester in bringing the Destruction to her demise. Since hand, he's been faithfully serving the King, particularly in the Navy area and as an occasional spy. Due to his history of being a pirate, Liam is not allowed to use any weapon stronger than a blade and he is monitored carefully by those higher than him.

First Character
Name: Aerie
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Species: Wyvern
Physical Appearance: Has simple brown pants that are a bit too large on him, and doesn’t wear a shirt cause no one’s bothered giving him one that’ll fit around his wings. His wings and tail are a fiery red and orange color, and has some scales on the edges of his jaw of the similar color. His horns are smallish and a dark tan color, and his hair is brown and unevenly cut. His eyes are the same color as his scales, and he’s more heavyset and strong than any normal guy his age, but smaller than a normal wyvern of the same. He has Protan colorblindness as well. He has heavy dragonish-looking claws on his hands and feet, and sharp teeth as well as the ability to breath fire. His voice is also deeper than most people of his age, and his wrists and ankles are worn from having chains on them.
Personality: Aerie is used to taking commands are not having any attention other than what’s given by the guards or the king. His whole demeanor appears defeated, and he doesn’t have many independent thoughts other than what life might be like if things were normal. Everyone portrays him as a mindless beast, even though he knows that he’s smarter than they think. He doesn’t speak much because no one tries listening to him anyway.
Backstory (optional): Aerie grew up in the sheltered Wyvern Grounds, and on the first day when he was allowed out past the territory of the Wyverns when he was 12, he flew too far southeast and got shot by soldiers who has also wandered far northwest. The soldiers would’ve killed him, but the commander told them to take him to the king to see if he wanted to use the young wyvern for anything. King Landchester was pleased with the find, and imprisoned Aerie in a secluded cell in the Centaur Compound for three years with plans to use him against the rebels someday. During the time, he sat in Aerie’s cell twice every week out of his reach engraving his purpose into the young wyvern’s mind by telling him that he was going to be used for a glorious purpose and to rid the world of evil. He now plans to use him to burn down the rebel base through Undermine and is going to move him there soon.

Second Character
Name: Alayna (people call her Layna)
Gender: Female
Age: 34
Species: Wolfwalker
Physical Appearance: An ordinary middle aged lady with light brown hair and natural blonde highlights. She usually wears her hair up in a messy bun, but it usually ends up falling out by the end of the day. It’s harder for her to see close up, but she doesn’t wear glasses. She wears plain dresses when she works, though they’re usually covered up by an apron she wears all the time. She wears it so often that she usually doesn’t bother taking it off, even at home. She has bright hazel eyes.
Personality: Layna is usually a sweet, caring woman, though ever since the death of her husband, she’s been more reserved and quiet. She never talks about him. She enjoys baking and it helps makes her more pleasant and calm.
Backstory (optional): Lives in a small town in southern Newhale, though she doesn’t hold any particular allegiance to either the King or the Rebels. In fact, she’s resentful towards both of them. She has two sons who both live on their own now, and had a husband who died recently. She owns her own bakery in the town, and has a couple of close family friends who visit often.

@Shabby Chic-Hens

First Character
Name: Adeen
Gender: female
Age: 26 ( turning 27 in September)
Species: human
Physical Appearance: Fire-colored short red hair, freckles, amber eyes. Kind of tall, but that helps with her job.
Personality: calm and gentle on the inside, but can have an opinion, and usually looks slightly… more eccentric than she really is, since she took on the family job (blacksmith) three years ago.
Backstory (optional): Three years ago, took on the family job, even though there were others that could. Therefore is probably kind of weird looking

@Crestcrazy2

First Character
Name: Shem Molbjorn
Gender: Male
Age: 36 in human years, though I don’t know how long centaurs live. Probably the same right?
Species: Centaur
Physical Appearance: Shem is built like a Shire Horse. Dappled grey skin and hair, green eyes and perfect teeth other then one that looks to be replaced with dull silver. His hair is long and braided, sometimes put up in a man bun style, his beard is braided and maintained. He wears leather armor and a black under shirt. A satchel is usually slung across his shoulder which doubles as a quiver filled with arrows. He also wears a necklace with the image of a crescent moon and a star in the middle of the moon around his neck. A beautiful ivory bow, etched with patterns and constellations is all he has left of his old herd.
Personality: very hopeful on the outside, always trying to look on the bright side and keep spirits up, but inside he feels completely lost and unsure of the future. He feels best out under the stars like most centaurs and is constantly trying to rally the captive centaurs in secret, trying to escape the compound. It hasn’t worked. He’s a very determined creature who fears succumbing completely to the will of the king.
Backstory (optional): like most Centaurs he was traveling the lands with his caravan, going from one Indian tribe to another, selling their wares and stocking up for the next leg of the yearly journey around the large island. He was really closer to a foal when the king arrived. (Sorry if I’m messing up timelines, idk how long ago it was! We can change it if need be!) King Lanchester forced Shems herd into camps and forbid the nomadic beings from roaming “his” island. They tried fighting back but it ended in vain, death was all that came of the fighting. The centaurs had grown weak, not knowing they would have to face off against a tyrannical king in the near future. The younger. Centaurs weren’t prepared for battle and many died trying to escape the kings clutches. Eventually they were imprisoned in compounds, forced to become one with his army…or be killed. Shem was one of the few who survived from his herd, but was eventually taken to a separate part of the compound for special training. They told him he would make a great warrior for the king and was even put in charge of his own squad of centaurs to train under himself.
But secretly he’s been planning a breakout, he made his choice long ago that he would never truly allie with the king. He would join the rebels if it’s the last thing he did.
Other: He’s insanely good with his bow, preferring a style of long range fighting more common for smaller soldiers. Even though he would be good for the front lines, taking hits and being the tank of the army, he plans to make it out of the compound alive. So even though he’s fairly well trained in close combat, he prefers his bow.

Second Character
Name: Amarok
Gender: Male
Age: 51
Species: Werewolf
Physical Appearance: In human form he’s an older man with a greying head of hair and a boxy beard. One side of his face is marred with long scarred over gashes and sunken in spots where the mouth of some vicious creature once attacked. A clear bite mark is left in the form of those scars across his left cheek and around his left ear. Thankfully the the fangs missed his ice green eyes and no other major injures occurred in the attack. He wears an older then dirt cloak that is covered in actual dirt and moss, along with a blue shirt, brown pants and padded leather boots.
In werewolf form he looks like ur typical werewolf. Big, muscular, hunched over shaggy figure that likes to stare from the shadows right into your soul and give you the shivers. Then eat you. Or bite you at least.
His eyes stay ice green and he remembers everything.
Personality: He puts on a facade which is what everyone usually gets to see. He’s charming, but manipulative and always acts kind to most people. But really he’s vengeful, angry at the world and power hungry. More to be rped.
Backstory (optional): long ago, before the takeover of the island was the army of the king. He joined when he was young and fought for the king for years, eventually landing a position that offered a chance at a new life. A better life. So he sailed across the sea with his king and claimed new land. But one battle cost him more then he bargained for. A black creature covered in thick fur leapt from the shadows within a mythic infested forest, biting him across the face and cursing him with a beastly form under the moonlight. King lanchester found out weeks later when Amarok was spotted inside the soldiers barracks. He was chased out and a bounty was placed on his head. Ever since then he’s been on a vengeful mission to infect the kings new land with creatures like him.
Other: He is the leader of a cult consisting of other werewolves living deep in the woods. If anyone wants roleplay a cult member you’re welcome to! Then we can all have anti-hero/Villians haha😂 and we can come up with the name for the cult/pack later!

@Amer

First Character
Name: Coal
Gender: male
Age:16
Species: phoenix
Physical Appearance: He’s that one friend, the one that looks like he’s been malnourished from birth, but is surprisingly strong. His slightliness provides a great advantage in flight, and he has better endurance than many. He is also pretty short at 5’5”. He has brown skin, coal-black eyes, and greasy, shoulder-length black hair. His feathers are mostly black with red edges. He has deerskin pants and a cloth shirt that goes down the front and around his waist.
Personality: He is fearless and impulsive. He loved fire. And he loves women, too.
Backstory (optional): Coal's mother was a "Lady of the Night" at Bird Point. While she gave up her first child for adoption, in broke her heart, and she swore that if she ever had another, she would raise him as best she could. That child was Coal. While Coal never grew up with much, his mother loved him in the best way she could. But Coal's adventurous spirit lead him on, and he grew curious about his older sister. She wasn't hard to spot. She looked so much like his mother, and he knew she was half Harpy. Ever since he was 13, he saw her, sometimes, sneaking around and looking all suspicious. Apparently, illicit activity ran in the family. Well, Coal wanted to get in on that. He also wanted to talk to her some day. But his Ember sightings were rare, and he was always unconveniently engaged. One night, he saw her again, and he gathered all of his confidence and bluster and decided to follow Ember.

Second Character
Name: Martha
Gender: female
Age: 37
Species: human
Physical Appearance: to say that giving birth to eight children and working in a bakery had no affect on her figure would be a lie. She’s a little plumper than the standard of the time called for, but she is trying to maintain her weight. Wears her hair up in brown ringlets. Fair skin. A button nose and blue eyes. A round face and slight double chin(this was desirable at the time. source:trust me bro). Is always wearing makeup. Wears a baker’s uniform at work but dresses up quite fancily otherwise, despite her modest salary. Puts great effort into her appearance.
Personality: Her demure attitude belies the fact that she’s scraping and struggling to keep everything tied up in a neat bow, even as it’s falling apart. Thanks to her pride and stubbornness, she is not going to ask for help! Knows little of the Mythics and is very afraid of them. Always tired.
Backstory (optional): Martha was the resplendent wife of a moderately wealthy merchant, living at home, taking care of the house and doting on their eight children. Her husband Gerald was often at sea, she didn’t see him much, but their relationship was a loving one. When Martha was 36, life insurance was only starting in the colony. And certainly Gerald didn’t need it! He was healthy as a horse!
His ship was captured by pirates and he was never heard from again.
All of his money went to Martha, but, she knew it wouldn’t last. After mourning for a year, she began working at the bakery with Layna, who I just realized has a story almost identical to hers(look I wanted to make Layna a nice friend). She wakes up and arrives at the bakery at 4 am and bakes until noon. While she is gone, her oldest child (a 14 year old boy) watches the house. Then she comes home and does the usual duties of a housewife (which were a lot before modern appliances.) Her meager income is enough to feed her large family, but she fears she is watching the curtain close on her fine house as her savings drain away. Soon, she may have to sell it.
Martha rarely has time to herself anymore, but when she is out, she wonders whether a man would look her way and marry someone her age. The prospects are grim.

Third Character
Name: Mary
Gender: female
Age: 14
Species: harpy
Physical Appearance: living Disney princess. Black wings and brown, wavy hair. A dreamy face and a creamy complexion. A little slip of a girl. Big, blue eyes. Rosy cheeks. Wears a flowing halterneck dress and little shoes.
Personality: Loves to talk to birds. Often has her head in the clouds, sometimes figuratively, sometimes figuratively. While her bird-talking is seen as a bit asocial, it is more than made up for by her kindness to everyone.
Backstory (optional): Grew up with two loving parents and some siblings at Bird Point. A long history of talking to birds. I don’t really know how she would fit into the rp but I got a picture in my mind and wanted to make her for some reason. I won’t be mad if I don’t ever get to play her.

First Character
Name: Lupin
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Species: Werewolf
Physical Appearance: When human, she is taller and stockier than average, with strong arms and a robust build. She has long red-brown hair, usually pulled back in an intricate ponytail. She is proud of her appearance and makes efforts to look nice, but often ends up muddy and sweaty from hunting runs through the forest. She has unique sage-green eyes, slightly sharper-than-average canines, and strong, thick fingernails. (As a wolf, she is also very large and strong, with thick reddish-brown fur, a luxurious tail, and green eyes. She has bigger paws and a short snout, plus a wide chest and large lungs for running long distances.)
Personality: She has a HUGE temper and a strong sense of justice. Often, if she is lied to, she will explode with anger. She's a sincere person, and never lies or cheats. However, this often gets her into trouble, because she doesn't withhold her werewolf status. She also is very strong, able to lift heavy weights and items, and prefers her fists over any other weapon.
Backstory (optional): Lupin was bitten very young by a rogue werewolf, and was thrown out by her parents when they discovered. She now lives in the forest, where she hunts, fishes, and traps the creatures there. She will also trade/sell items she acquires in the forest (including food she has caught). Several times over the years, she has run into her mother and father, who have never recognized her, and she typically will do something out of spite to them (the rare occasion she will act unkindly unprovoked.) She is talented in the smithy but does not enjoy it, and her favorite place is the thick forest and the endless sea, for reasons no one seems to understand. (Wolf+ocean= ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) (although wolves are AMAZING swimmers)

@ChickenLover 3

First Character
Name: Lucia
Gender: Female
Age: 13 years
Species: Wolfwalker
Physical Appearance: Tall for her age. Almost-black hair with burnt-caramel colored streaks, like a tabby cat's fur. Deep brown eyes that seem like they could see into your soul. Very slender and athletic - she plays soccer.
Personality: She is friendly with those she knows, but appears cold to those she is not friends with, as she tries to distance herself from people so she doesn't have to interact with them, because she doesn't know how to approach anyone.
Backstory (optional): Lucia was trained to hunt, fight, and live in the wild when she was very young, as her parents believed she should know how to survive alone if necessary. Many see her as weird because she often wears male clothes instead of dresses, as they're a lot more comfortable and easy to hunt in. She hunts to provide her family's income as well as their meals - whatever they won't use in a day or so, she takes to the market. She spends a lot of time out in the woods alone, because she loves nature and doesn't like interacting with people. More to come if I can think of it.

@Somewhere_In_The_Clouds

First Character
Name: Solus
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Species: Aqrabaumelu
Physical Appearance: Fairly tall and thin typical teenage girl (I don’t know!) Dark brown straight hair that comes just below her shoulders. Lightly tanned skin. Her tail is thin and scorpion looking, a colour that matches her hair but with streaks of black. For the occasional times she chooses to be around other people and has to hide her identity she uses a simple non hooded cloak (she prefers her tail to be free to use at any given moment) and gloves.
Personality: Sol's true personality is kinda sweet and kind. But because of the circumstances of her life her first instinct has become to be on the defence, resulting in being extremely slow to trust. Due to her solitary life, when around others she can often be somewhat absent minded, two years living alone in a world she’s been told is out to kill her probably did some things to her mind… Relies on her tail before any other weapon or skill she may have.
Backstory (optional): I only know bits and pieces rn...
