The Process of a Broody Duck

Hey Daffy
I have 3 females and a male.
2 Of them hot broody , the third got recently a lot of drake attention.... was laying near one of the broody ducks (who would take the egg in her nest) and now got broody herself.... picture of duck sandwich to follow.

Some questions
1) How long after hatching will my girls start laying again?
2) without a drake... would they get broody?
3) other than get rid of the drake is there a,way of avoiding ducklings. They are cute and all but they need removed.
