Tips & Tricks for Raising Ducks ~ the Complete Essential Guide:

Great article with plenty of information
A well-written article that gives a good, thorough overview of the basics of duck care without being too overwhelming. The pictures are very useful to demonstrate what is being discussed in the article.
Thank you so much for the article. I wish I would have read it before buying my ducks. lol Very informative! Love all of the pics!
Thankyou so much the time it must have taken for you to put this together 😃 I've only just begun to get my ducks happy & healthy & I really appreciate the information!
Thank you for taking the time to put this together, I needed it for sure.
I deducted two stars due to the fact that I recognized several prominent mistakes (as touched on in more detail by another reviewer) and thought you could have spent a little bit more time discussing each breed. I also believe that it could easily have been more detailed overall, but I think you did a good job and I really do think this is a helpful article, albeit having a few mistakes.
Love it! Perfect start for someone looking to get into ducks, or just wanting to learn more about them. Lots of great info and very easy to understand!
Maybe not complete, but it covers everything essential!
Excellent article! Well researched and informative. ❤️

This is a nice article with some good information, but there is also some incorrect information that should be fixed.

  • Silver Appleyards and Welsh Harlequins are listed in the breed list as if they are same breed, with a slash between them. These are two very distinct breed and should be separated.
  • Call ducks don't lay 300 eggs a year. Instead, they are seasonal egg layers, and only lay in the spring and summer, maybe the early fall. They are also very broody, and if you let them lay a small clutch without taking the eggs, they will stop laying and go broody.
  • Blue, black, and silver Swedish are listed as separate breeds. Swedish is one breed. Blue, black, and silver are colors that the one breed comes in.
  • Most breeds do go broody. Calls, rouens, khaki campbells, silver appleyards, saxonies, etc etc have all been known to brood. Some pekins even brood, though that is less likely.
  • Bumblefoot isn't a blister caused by walking. It is a staph infection caused when the foot is scratched or punctured and the bacteria gets inside.

Otherwise, it's a good article, with lots of nice pictures.
