Ventilation got you baffled?

Cool idea. I really like the plexiglass upgrade. I am curious if you'd thought of louvering the plexiglass at all?

No but I don't see why it wouldn't work. It would take more carpentry skills than my simple plexiglass baffles, but not too difficult. I hope someone gives it a try. Maybe you?
Good tip on making baffles

Thank you!
Perfect Timing! I have a very small coop in one of my bantam bachelor runs, and while it has enough ventilation, it's so dark that my boys avoid it like the plague. Worse, there isn't an easy way to add a window without screwing up the existing ventilation. Then this article came out ... and voila, the perfect solution! With Old Man Winter right around the corner, my boys thank you from the tips of their beaks to the ends of their sickle feathers ... and so do I, minus the feathers and beaks, of course!

You're welcome, thank you!
This is great, nearly perfect. It addresses a problem that some new coop builders might not even realize they have! The delicate architectural problem of getting enough ventilation in the coop without blowing the birds off their roost!

My small quibble is with the photo. You can’t tell that the plexiglass is raised from the surface of the coop. It looks as though it seals the window - the opposite of the article’s intent!

Nevertheless, I appreciate this article greatly. because, you see, I have this one vent cut above the nest box...

I agree, the picture is difficult to see it well and I'm depending on my description. If I can get a better photo I'll add it. Thanks!
