I am not sure what is going on with my Rooster, the back of his legs are turning bright red,
I tried to get some pictures today, not that clear but I am hoping that they are clear enough.........

any Ideas would be so helpful, none of the other chickens are showing any redness.

Does it only happen at a certain time of year or, when they get to a certain age?? He is about 6 months old now and his waddles are about 2 inches long, it is funny watching him swing the waddles out of his way so he can eat.

well he is finally figuring out how to dance for the ladies, still working on the crowing... he can only get about 2 and a half out so far, he sounds like a teenager with his voice changing..... still crack up when he tries. Glad to hear it is ok, will have to get a picture of his head, not sure what kind he is...

Thank you

Without a head shot, looks like Buff Orp or Buff Rock...leaning to Orp if he has white legs amongst that red glare!!

batteries went dead He is a buff color with a single comb, and his waddles are all ready about 2 inches long, As soon as the batteries charge I will get a head shot.

Your roos legs look fine. there is a mite that chickens get on thier legs and it turns them scaly and white. For that you use Pine tar.. but color in thier legs isn't bad when its not full of scales..
