Last night I checked the 'bator and everthing was quiet..this a.m. I checked and have 4 pips...with cheeping. I am so eggcited. These are my split/black lav orps. Needless to say I was late for work, and I want to leave early..the pic is of the one egg that is the really coming along...this is going to be the longest day...

When I got home I checked the 'bator..YAAAHHH a chick and its lavender!! The one that was doing so well this a.m. hasn't really done much all day, But I hear cheeping from some of the others..

My last hatch of the split black / lav. Orps. ended up being 100%! I hope the same for you!

Not much luck today...I think one of the pips has given up..I have 2 others that seem to be taking their sweet time, I hope they are going to be alright.

Bad news..no more pips. 1 gave up,2 are out of the shell, but it doesn't look good for them..so I only have 1 hatched...

Congrats on the chicks! THis winter im going to be looking for Black, Blue,Splash, and Lavender Orpington hatching eggs. I don't want all of them i would just want some Splashes with the blue gene and then Lavenders
