I got some DE from the feedstore, and I was wondering if it is "food grade" I know not to buy the pool kind, this was found in garden section. I'm just not sure if there's a difference between mine and the one you put in the food.
It says "Concern [brand] from the Earth, for the Earth.
Diatomaceous Earth Crawling Insect Killer" What are your thoughts?

That IS NOT food grade. It is laced with chemicals to kill ants. DON"T FEED TO CHICKENS. I looked at a bag also and saw this so I order a foog grade bag online.

Doesn't sound like Food Grade...the food grade always says, well, "Food Grade" on it.

I just sprinkled some on the Concern DE in my chickens dust bath. Now that I read this is not the right kind. Should I immediately remove the dust bath and buy food grade DE?

I researched this a bit. My conclusion was the main issue with the non-food grade was inhaling it in high concentrations. However, there are many diverse opinions on this.

What you want to look for is Perma Guard Fossil Shell Flour.. This is food grade DE. I'm lucky that I found a feed store locally that carries it.
